Careers: Qualified Rural Surveyor Vacancy

We are seeking a driven and recently qualified Rural Surveyor to join our Sedgefield office.

About Us

YoungsRPS is a North East based firm with offices in Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire and Dumfries offering a range of professional services throughout the region. Our experts operate nationally, but principally across the North of England and Scotland. The origins of the company can be traced back to 1879 but over the years our business has continued to evolve, providing an honest, dynamic and personal service to our clients, priding ourselves on our local knowledge. Many of our rural experts are not only qualified but have also been raised in farming families, allowing them to relate to the issues our clients face day to day.

About the role

The position, based at our Sedgefield office, would provide an excellent opportunity to join our diverse team, undertaking a wide range of work which includes Valuation, Utilities, Grants and Subsidies, Property Sales and Lettings, Landlord and Tenant, Renewables and Development. The successful applicant will work alongside other qualified surveyors in the Sedgefield office and wider YoungsRPS team.

About you

You will be joining one of the leading, independent local firms of RICS Rural and Commercial Surveyors, Land Agents, Estate Agents and Development Consultants and will deal with a wide variety of clients and projects. The client base from our Sedgefield office primarily covers Co Durham and North Yorkshire.

We are looking for a recently qualified rural surveyor to join our busy Sedgefield office. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, practical person with a genuine passion for the industry and a desire to handle a wide ranging workload for a varied client base. 1 – 5 year’s experience within the rural surveying industry would be preferred.

Applicants should be able to work with enthusiasm, flexibility and have an excellent capacity for hard work and attention to detail. Excellent communication and people skills, ideally with a practical knowledge of the agricultural sector.

Preferably, the applicant will have experience of working with Microsoft office packages, digital mapping systems, be a Member of RICS and, ideally, also a Fellow of CAAV. Full UK Driving Licence essential.
