youngsrps six months in Darlington housing market

Following the successful opening of our seventh office on Duke Street last June we caught up with Gabrielle McKenna, Manager and Valuer, to tell us how the first 6 months at youngsRPS Darlington have been.

“The first 6 months have been better than we could have hoped for considering we opened up amid a global pandemic! After a record-breaking period of growth we knew it was the right time to branch out into Teesside.

Darlington and the surrounding areas are very popular, more so than ever due to the creation of the HM Treasury Economic Campus, excellent commuter links, good schools, and high-quality shops. It’s situation between the coast and Yorkshire Moors and Dales, makes it the ideal location.

The town itself is filled with fabulous architecture and design. Alongside the traditional houses of Darlington we have had some fabulous new build projects too. We are anticipating a busy year, with some exciting properties launching on our website and portals very soon.

Sold prices in Darlington were up 7% over the past year compared to the year before, and this steady increase is set to continue for all property types*.

Darlington really is a fantastic place to live and work and if you’re looking to buy, sell rent or lease we are here to offer expert local knowledge and guidance.
