Home About Blog Rural News: Round 2 of Farming Equipment and Technology Fund launched

With round 2 of this scheme set to open later this month, the FETF has become more accessible than the previous year, lowering the minimum grant to £1,000 per theme (Productivity and Slurry / Animal Health and Welfare), along with adding an additional 87 new grant eligible items. This scheme allows applications for grants up to £25,000 per theme for any of the equipment within the enclosed lists, (subject to required specifications). The Productivity and Slurry grant application window is expected to open in late February, whilst the window for Animal Health and Welfare is expected to open in March.

Payments are made in arrears with the aim of the money being in your bank account within 30 days of providing evidence of purchase. Regardless if you were successful in attaining funding in round 1, you can still apply for up to £25,000 per theme.

There are some universal requirements to this grant. Importantly, the grant will not provide funding for items that are; ex-demo, second hand, try-before-you-buy or paid for by part-exchange. Each item also has its own detailed specification in order to qualify.

It should also be noted, this funding is competitive, therefore there is no guarantee an application will be successful. That being said, successful applicants should endeavour to purchase the items as soon as possible as in the past a shortage of some of these items has meant funding has been retracted. If you are interested in applying for any of the items in within the schemes, please contact your local YoungsRPS office
