Home About Blog Rural News:Countryside Stewardship Facilitation Fund open for applications.

The popular Countryside Stewardship Facilitation Fund has opened for applications once again today.

The fund helps agricultural groups in England to coordinate their actions, join agri-environment schemes, and share knowledge among themselves so that they may achieve greater environmental benefits than if they worked by themselves. Over the course of a three-year agreement, a facilitator will work with farmers and landowners. In addition to organizing activities, facilitators provide support, advice, and training to the group.

This year's round of the scheme builds upon previous years' successes by supporting environmental priorities such as:

  • Action to support priority species
  • Water Management
  • Improving air quality by reducing emissions of pollutants such as ammonia.
