Supporting farmers through agricultural transition

youngsRPS and Active Business Partnership Free Seminar Series

As the agricultural industry moves away from direct payments and a new environmental subsidy framework comes into force, understanding the facts and opportunities available is more important than ever, and farmers in the North of England wanting pragmatic advice from experts in their field, are invited to attend the 2021 evening seminars from youngsRPS and Active Business Partnerships (ABP).

Leading with the theme ‘Supporting farmers through the agricultural transition’, the free seminars are an opportunity for rural businesses to assess the changes as they happen and plan strategically for the future.

The seminars will feature the ABP team discussing the importance of farm business reviews, showing a range of trends over the last few years and tips on planning ahead. This will be followed by youngsRPS representatives exploring the general theme of ‘the future, the facts and how to take advantage.’

Managing director at youngsRPS, Graeme Bruce, will be helping farmers to plan for the future, and says: “The impending implementation of the agricultural transition plan means farmers across the UK are now having to look further ahead than ever before, incorporating even longer lifecycles into their farming operations.

“The proposed changes are, as always, surrounded by red tape and confusion and adapting farming methods around the new agricultural policies takes up time that could be better spent elsewhere on the farm. We want to help guide our agricultural clients, and the nations farming community, through this most uncertain period with professional expert advice, exposing every possible opportunity for clients to capitalise and profit,” adds Graeme.

Hamish Bichan from ABP is clear that there is a need for practical guidance as we move through the agricultural transition. “Change and challenge are constants, and right now, the world needs British agriculture like never before.

“We now have an opportunity to give the country what it wants: Food, environmental benefits and solutions for climate change.”
