Applications Now Open: Food Processing Marketing and Co-operation Fund (FPMC).

August 4th saw the government open a further funding round for the FPMC to suppliers and producers of food and drink throughout Scotland.

This scheme, part of the government’s overall vision to double the food and drink industry in Scotland within the next 12 years, can provide successful applicants with support grants to enable them to invest in infrastructure, replace facilities and purchase new equipment and in turn increase capacity, become more energy efficient and reduce operating costs.

Mairi Gougeon, Rural Affairs Secretary, said “Looking to the future, this funding will help new and established businesses to move into emerging markets and ensure the long-term viability of our primary producers.”

There is fantastic opportunity within the scheme for Scottish producers and we urge anyone seeking guidance and assistance with their application to contact our Dumfries office directly on 01387 402 277, so as not to miss the September 12th deadline.

NOTES TO APPLICANTS: Applications must be received by us by midnight 12 September 2021. No late applications will be accepted.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in mid-December 2021. Depending on the volume of applications received, it may be possible for applicants to be notified earlier.

Please note this is a competitive grant scheme and not all applicants will receive funding.

The FPMC scheme is part of the Scottish Rural Development Programme.
