LOCATION
Alnwick, the traditional County town of Northumberland, is an important market town situated just off the A1 Trunk road, some 34 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne. The town has a busy centre deriving trade from the wide local catchment and a vibrant year round tourist trade with visitors drawn by Alnwick Castle, which has increased in popularity due to films such as Harry Potter being shot here, and The Alnwick Garden.
