Congratulations to Mike Halliday, Associate at our Dumfries office, who was recently elected Chairman of the Dumfries branch of NFUS.

NFU Scotland supports and promotes members to achieve a sustainable and profitable future for Scottish agriculture. The organisation was formed in 1913 and is Scotland’s leading agricultural organisation representing 9,000 farmers, crofters, growers and other supporters the length and breadth of the country.

About Mike

Mike was a dairy farmer for 15-years before becoming a Rural Consultant and still keeps his hand in at farming by running a store cattle business based around rotational grazing. He has enjoyed success since joining youngsRPS in Landlord and Tenant work; property sales; utility compensation claims; & business viability reports to assist with planning applications. He is an FBAASS (Farm Business Adviser Accreditation Scheme for Scotland) accredited adviser and is able to assist farmers and landowners with accessing Scottish Government funding to carry out ILMP’s; Specialist Advice; and Carbon Audits. 

Mike is also the Dumfries & Galloway regions representative on the national Environment & Land Use (ELU) Committee.
